HistorySudh Mahadev Temple is steeped in ancient mythology. Legend has it that a demon named Sudheet, a devotee of Lord Shiva, once approached Goddess Parvati. Startled, she screamed, prompting Shiva to throw his Trishul, which fatally wounded Sudheet. Realizing the mistake, Shiva offered to revive him, but Sudheet chose to die at the Lord's hands. Shiva then named the place after him.Deity & SignificanceThis shrine is dedicated to Lord Shiva and holds immense spiritual importance. It is one of the most famous temples in Jammu and Kashmir.
